Hi there, I'm Annie, and I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for visiting my website and showing interest in Hydro Hounds, my mobile grooming service that has truly been a dream come true. Let me take you on a little journey of how it all began.

Back in the 1980s, I started grooming horses and dogs as a hobby. My dad would drive me to clients with my kit and a generator in the back of his trusty Landrover. Fast forward to 2024, and I decided to turn this lifelong passion into a full-fledged business. You know what they say, "Find a job you love, and you'll never work a day in your life!" After serving as a public servant for 30 years, I couldn't resist the chance to transform my spare time passion into a full-time career.

My formal training began 'on the job' in a bustling salon where I had the pleasure of working with various breeds. From tiny Shih Tzus and Poochons, medium-sized Retrievers and Bulldogs, to the grand Tibetan Mastiffs and Great Danes, I've had the opportunity to groom them all.

On the personal side, I share my life with my long-suffering partner, our mischievous cat Milo, and our spirited German Wirehaired Pointer, Jerry. Horses have always been a part of my life, and my spare time is devoted to my ex-racehorse, Mac. When I'm not riding, you can find me indulging in my other passion—motorbikes. Touring Europe on two wheels is my idea of a perfect holiday, embracing life in the fast lane!
